MARCELO BUKIN - Film Director/Visual Artist

Marcelo is an international award-winning filmmaker, visual artist, and creator. His work has been widely recognized for its humanity, visual immersion, and emotional truth, earning praise and awards at more than 200 international film festivals. Filmmaking legend Albert Maysles called Bukin’s work “Much more worthwhile than what the mass media produces.”   

Bukin directs films, commercials, and brand storytelling while creating expressionist artworks. His projects include shoots with SONY, Olympus, P&G, Intel, Starbucks, Hellmann’s, Unilever, and Knorr among many others. Recent campaigns were shot in US, Japan, Brazil, India, and Costa Rica. 

Marcelo’s creative journey has been a kaleidoscope of vibrant experiences, each contributing to his distinct creative approach. From studying under European cinema and art masters in Barcelona while working as a burlesque showman, to his four years backpacking across the world exploring humanity in African and Indonesian villages, to his performances in Japan, and in-depth yogic and systemic coaching studies in India. Bukin developed a uniquely loving way to connect with people across cultures, styles, and backgrounds, exploring the human soul that unites us all while giving life to heart-touching cinematic entertainment.

 Awards & Honors include: IDA Award, Gold Award FIPA France, New York State Council on the Arts Grant, FIDH Award, selection at Docuweeks for Academy Awards Consideration, among many others. 

Marcelo works globally and resides between Miami and New York City. He is also a sought-after guest lecturer and speaker at prestigious venues such as Georgetown University, Columbia University, and the Museum of Moving Image in New York, where he shares his insights on storytelling and visual arts.
