MARCELO BUKIN - Storyteller & Filmmaker

Marcelo Bukin is an international award-winning storyteller, filmmaker, and storytelling coach. His work has been widely recognized for its humanity, visual immersion, and emotional truth, earning praise and awards at more than 200 international film festivals. Filmmaking legend Albert Maysles called Bukin’s work “much more worthwhile than what the mass media produces.”

In tandem with directing commercials, cinematic documentaries, and narrative films, Marcelo leads masterclasses and provides storytelling coaching using his own method. Through his coaching, he helps individuals and organizations harness the power of narrative to grow their careers, businesses, and brands. His approach blends purpose-driven storytelling with artistic innovation and personal growth, inspiring others to craft stories that resonate deeply and authentically.

Marcelo collaborates with global brands such as SONY, Olympus, P&G, Intel, Hellmann’s, Unilever, and Knorr, with recent campaigns shot in the US, Japan, Brazil, India, and Costa Rica.

Marcelo’s creative journey is a kaleidoscope of vibrant experiences, shaping his unique approach to storytelling. From studying under European cinema and art masters in Barcelona while working as a burlesque showman, to backpacking for four years through African and Indonesian villages, to performing in Japan, and studying yogic and systemic coaching in India, Marcelo has developed a uniquely loving and authentic way of connecting with people across cultures, styles, and backgrounds, capturing the human soul that unites us all while bringing heart-touching cinematic entertainment and purpose-driven narratives to life.

His awards and honors include the IDA Award, Gold Award FIPA France, New York State Council on the Arts Grant, FIDH Award, and selection at Docuweeks for Academy Awards consideration, among many others.

Marcelo works globally and resides between Miami and New York City. He is a guest lecturer and speaker at prestigious venues such as Georgetown University, Columbia University, and the Museum of Moving Image in New York, where he shares his insights on storytelling, filmmaking, and personal growth.
